Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tatu Kurri!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Harper.
Harper cracks Kurri with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Harper misses with a left hand
and Kurri counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Harper controls Kurri momentarily but Kurri frees himself.
Kurri trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom.
My spies in K.O Heaven inform me that Kurri has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Harper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kurri is one step ahead there.

Kurri connects with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kurri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kurri is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kurri landing with the ground and pound.
Harper looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kurri wants to control from the top but Harper keeps moving.
Kurri's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Harper is looking for a triangle but Kurri pushes his legs off easily.
Kurri slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kurri is pushing down on Harper's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harper is fighting to maintain full guard but Kurri has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kurri prevents Harper from improving his position.
Harper on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kurri lands with a punch from half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kurri is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Harper tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kurri lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Harper wants to control but Kurri is having none of it.
Kurri raining down hammerfists from mount.
Kurri has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kurri wants to control the pace but Harper is squirming around nicely.
Harper is trying to escape the mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kurri fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Harper covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Kurri is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Kurri working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Harper is doing well to defend. Kurri seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Harper is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tatu Kurri!
Tatu Kurri bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
