Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Farboleous Ricard (ranked 23 p4p, 3 weight class) and William Spud (ranked 126 p4p, 15 weight class). Ricard comes to the cage accompanied by Vibe Killer. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Spud!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spud ducks under a wild hook from Ricard.

Ricard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ricard has his foot on Spud's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spud works his way back into a safe position though.

Ricard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spud gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ricard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That kick from Spud tenderised Ricard's leg. Ricard is trying to keep his angry face on.
Spud takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Spud throws a solid leg kick but Ricard takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Spud.

Spud's coach down at Save America! TRUMP 2020! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spud's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

I would just about give that final round to William Spud.
