Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kono (ranked 6327 p4p, 435 weight class) and Micky Harper (ranked 7014 p4p, 458 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kono lands with a straight right. Harper didn't see that one coming.
Harper has his takedown stuffed
and Kono counters with a stiff right hand.

Harper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kono's guard.
Kono wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Harper won't allow Kono to sweep him here.

Kono bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harper's guard.

Harper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kono. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harper is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kono frees his head nicely. Oh but Harper has switched to an armbar! Kono is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
