Lott comes to the cage accompanied by Hearts on fire. William Barker has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andy Lott's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker fails to land with a series of punches.
Lott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lott somewhat.
Lott throws a head kick but Barker moves out of range.

Lott darts in and clinches Barker up against the cage.
Lott wants to take the fight to the mat but Barker manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lott successfully pulls guard.
Barker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lott is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lott wants to stand but Barker is controlling the position.

Barker stands and steps away. Lott gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lott darts in looking for a takedown but Barker gets double underhooks and turns Lott into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Lott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barker moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Andy Lott has been cut.
Lott walks straight into a right hand from Barker - that's dropped him! Barker jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lott from any more punishment! Lott complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
