Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ricardo Escalante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Horus Lupical!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escalante with a poor takedown
and Lupical counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Escalante thinking.
Lupical dives in for a single leg takedown but Escalante sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Escalante throws a lazy uppercut
and Lupical cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Escalante throws a head kick that misses
and Lupical counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice cross by Lupical.
Lupical shoots in but Escalante avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Escalante changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Escalante looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Escalante tries to keep at a distance but Lupical has taken the fight into the clinch.
Escalante jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lupical walks away with a smile on his face. Escalante gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Escalante. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Escalante throws a head kick but Lupical moves out of range.
Escalante takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lupical scores with a nice right hand.
Escalante is rocked!
Lupical flashes Escalante a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Escalante's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Escalante crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Lupical punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
