Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clifton Justice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pierre Williams !
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a series of punches but Justice avoids them all with ease.

Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard.
Williams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Justice is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams , into his guard.


Williams is looking for a triangle here but Justice uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Justice easily slips into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams wants to control but Justice is having none of it.

Justice is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Williams to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Williams shrugs it off.

Justice gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Williams feints and as Justice raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Justice has his feet on Williams 's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Williams gets a double leg takedown into Justice's guard.

Justice has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Williams off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Williams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Justice!

Williams tries for a kimura but Justice is defending well.
Williams looks winded!
Justice prevents Williams from moving into mount.
Justice manages to get back to half guard.

Williams seems to be working for a kimura but Justice defends the submission attempt.

Williams is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Justice manages to get to full guard.

Justice pushes Williams off and scrambles back to his feet.
Justice throws out a leg kick but Williams moves out of range and Justice only half commits.
The fight stays on the outside here - Justice looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Williams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Justice gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A bit of stalling here from Justice.

Justice manages to break the clinch.

Williams clinches.

Justice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams shoots in but Justice avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Justice.
Justice looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clifton Justice dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nice takedown defense from Justice. No joy for Williams on that attempt.
Justice is looking for a counter combo.
Justice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Justice to the mat! Justice manages to get full guard.

Justice has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Williams off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Justice is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Williams can do to turn this around?
Justice wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side

so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Justice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Justice gets to his feet. Williams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Justice wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance.
Justice closes the distance and clinches up with Williams , looking for a takedown. Justice pushes Williams against the cage but Williams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Williams shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Justice napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Williams is breathing heavily.

Justice sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Justice gets back to full guard.
Clifton Justice overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Williams trying to move into half guard but instead Justice has managed to sweep!

Justice lands a couple of elbows.

Williams looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Justice passes into half guard.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Justice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Justice lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Justice seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt.

Justice working Williams over with strikes.
Williams pushes Justice off but Justice dives into side control.

Justice is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Williams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Justice tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Justice wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams , who protects the arm well.
Williams tries to improve position but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Justice is working to tighten his grip on Williams 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Williams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Justice is really squeezing tight and eventually Williams passes out! Justice breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Clifton Justice!
