The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnkvist tries to clinch there but Corll circles away.
Barnkvist chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Corll can pounce on him.
Corll has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Corll lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barnkvist at a distance.
Barnkvist tries to clinch but Corll is having none of it.
Corll loads up on a big right hand but Barnkvist slips the punch.
Corll connects with a solid leg kick.

Corll throws a front kick aimed at Barnkvist's knee but Barnkvist avoids it well.

It looks like Peter Barnkvist has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Barnkvist has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Corll keeps the fight on the outside.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barnkvist connects with a nice short shot to Corll's temple.

Corll has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Barnkvist. Oh but Corll has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Barnkvist goes limp - he's gone! Corll jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Dean Corll spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
