Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rodney Pitts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jack!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pitts looking to score a takedown here. Jack is defending well but Pitts drives through and ends up in Jack's guard.
Jack bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pitts's guard.


Jack drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pitts looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pitts looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pitts!

Pitts seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jack for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pitts accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pitts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Pitts shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jack is trying to defend but Pitts finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pitts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Pitts shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jack napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jack is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Pitts is staying active.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pitts is staying tight to Jack's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Jack is working for a rear naked choke. Pitts is not defending it well and Jack has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Pitts refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Pitts's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
