Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Altair Brain (ranked 1114 p4p, 127 weight class) and Segey Taranin (ranked 3211 p4p, 302 weight class). Brain comes into the arena with 300 Violin blaring out of the sound system. Altair Brain has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Segey Taranin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Brain. Beautiful body shot.
A punch combination from Brain misses.
Taranin feints the counter takedown.
Altair Brain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brain throws a head kick that misses.
Taranin fails to land the takedown.
Brain has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme Foaming Shortcakes in the buildup to the fight.
Brain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Taranin.
Brain moves out of range of the strikes.
Brain tries to clinch up but Taranin circles away and keeps his distance.
Taranin lands the left hand.
Taranin lands a jab.
Taranin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brain counters with a stiff right hand.
Brain smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Brain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brain, as that shot connected.

Brain ducks under a wild hook from Taranin.
Brain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Brain moves into the clinch.
Brain is pressed up against the cage. Taranin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brain down to the mat. Brain avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Altair Brain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Segey Taranin.

Brain throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Taranin's head.
Brain tries to close the distance and clinch but Taranin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brain throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Taranin is rocked!
Brain lands with a big left! Taranin is wobbled badly! Brain comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Taranin to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
