Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chucky Sims (ranked 2957 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Douglas (ranked 3930 p4p, 0 weight class). Buster Douglas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas stuns Sims with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sims dodges the punch combination from Douglas.
Sims tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Douglas connects with a jab.
Douglas throws a jab but it's blocked by Sims.

Douglas lands a jab to the head.

Sims pushes Douglas up against the cage in a clinch.

Sims ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sims no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A head kick from Sims lands but Douglas takes it in his stride.
Sims closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Douglas throws a body punch but Sims moves out of range.

It looks like Chucky Sims has been cut.
Sims ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Sims throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Douglas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sims is in Douglas's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Douglas is on top in guard.

Douglas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Douglas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sims escapes and throws Douglas's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Douglas tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Douglas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sims's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Sims knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Douglas on the ground.

Douglas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sims doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sims manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Douglas is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sims frees his head nicely. Oh but Douglas has switched to an armbar! Sims is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
