Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keith Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Peter!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Summers.
Summers takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Summers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peter but Peter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Summers swivels and escapes.

Summers has Peter up against the cage in a clinch.

Peter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Summers looking to score a takedown here. Peter is defending well but Summers drives through and ends up in Peter's guard.
Peter has momentary wrist control but Summers slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Summers would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Summers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Peter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Summers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Summers tries to stand but Peter is controlling from the bottom.
Summers trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Summers passes Peter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Peter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Summers pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peter keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Peter rushes Summers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Summers wants to get back to striking at distance but Peter won't allow it.
The referee calls for Summers to work.

Summers is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Peter pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Summers tries to pull guard but Peter forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Peter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Summers is trying to defend but Peter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Summers lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Summers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Summers leaves Peter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Summers darts in looking for a takedown but Peter gets double underhooks and turns Summers into the cage.

With the fighters up against the cage, Summers throws an elbow but misses.

Horrible takedown attempt by Summers or perhaps it was just good defense by Peter, which made it look bad.

Peter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Summers's efforts to push away.
Summers lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Summers breaks from the clinch.

Summers has Peter up against the cage in a clinch.
Summers on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Peter misses with a body punch.
Summers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Peter tries for a takedown but Summers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Summers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peter as he jumps to the side.

Summers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Summers somewhat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Summers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peter swivels and escapes.
Summers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Summers slaps away a takedown attempt from Peter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Peter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Summers tries to avoid it but Peter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Summers to the ground. Summers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Peter darts in and clinches Summers up against the cage.
Summers looking to stall.
Summers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Summers tries for a takedown but Peter manages to get underhooks.
Summers wants to take the fight to the mat but Peter manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Peter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Summers swings for the body but Peter moves out of range.
Summers doesn't manage to clinch there - Peter circles away.
Peter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Summers.
Summers chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Peter can pounce on him.

Summers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peter swivels and escapes.
Peter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Summers defends it nicely.

I would just about give that final round to Tom Peter.
