Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Escalante (ranked 2762 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horus Lupical (ranked 2127 p4p, 0 weight class). Lupical comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Right Where it Belongs by NIN kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Horus Lupical will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupical lands an overhand right.
Escalante really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lupical changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lupical jabs Escalante right on the nose. Escalante blinks but takes it well.
Escalante fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lupical avoids it really well and circles away.
Escalante takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Horus Lupical seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escalante tries to land a front kick but Lupical steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A left lands for Lupical.
Escalante is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Lupical moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Escalante! Lupical continues to tee off on Escalante, landing with a left and a right! Lupical connects with a right hand that leaves Escalante sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Lupical!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Horus Lupical!
As Horus Lupical got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I am just grateful to be alive.'.
