PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erico Pinheiro (ranked 4847 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peng Peng (ranked 4846 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Erico Pinheiro has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Erico Pinheiro seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinheiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Peng swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pinheiro tries to clinch up but Peng circles away and keeps his distance.

Peng rushes Pinheiro and presses him up against the cage.
Pinheiro is trying to pull guard but Peng turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Peng has Pinheiro pushed against the cage.

Peng continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Pinheiro tries to pull guard but Peng holds him up against the cage and eventually Pinheiro drops back down to his feet.
Pinheiro is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The crowd are getting on Peng's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pinheiro pulls guard effortlessly.
Peng lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Peng is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Pinheiro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Peng is looking to defend but Pinheiro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Peng! Pinheiro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Peng taps out and this one is all over!
