The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a right and a left that Sonen avoids nicely.
Sonen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Williams sprawls and moves away.
Williams looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Sonen.
Sonen tries to counter with a takedown but Williams is quick to defend against it.

Sonen scores with a takedown into Williams's guard.
Sonen sitting in guard here, content to control.
Sonen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Williams's guard.
Sonen content to control rather than advance.

Sonen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Williams has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sonen. Oh but Williams has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sonen goes limp - he's gone! Williams jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
