Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Cutlas (ranked 2883 p4p, 360 weight class) and Tim Drive (ranked 2296 p4p, 283 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcin Cutlas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Drive!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutlas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drive manages to avoid it.
Drive looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cutlas takes a swing at Drive's ribcage but misses.
Drive avoids the body shot from Cutlas.
Drive avoids the body shot from Cutlas.
A little jabbing left from Drive on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Drive misses with a hook.
Cutlas appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Drive lunges at Cutlas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cutlas's hand.
Drive on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Drive dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Drive waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cutlas.
Marcin Cutlas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cutlas staying out of range there.
Drive lands with a shot to the body.
Cutlas takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Drive takes a swing at Cutlas's ribcage but misses.
Drive misses with a hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cutlas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cutlas cracks Drive with a right hand to the side of the head.

Cutlas closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Drive's guard.
Cutlas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Drive working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cutlas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cutlas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cutlas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drive swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cutlas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cutlas working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Drive's head.
Cutlas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cutlas content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We've been hearing that Cutlas has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Cutlas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Drive trying to control the position.

Drive is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cutlas is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drive is looking for a triangle but Cutlas pushes his legs off easily.
Drive has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cutlas distracts Drive with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Drive is trying to control the position but Cutlas postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cutlas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cutlas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Drive keeping moving, preventing Cutlas from controlling successfully.
Drive preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Cutlas landing some decent shots from guard.
Drive controlling the position.
Cutlas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drive swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Drive not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cutlas is looking to wear down Drive with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Cutlas keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Drive.
Cutlas takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cutlas scores with a hook to the body. Drive takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Drive with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cutlas to score with a decent uppercut.
Drive ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Drive waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cutlas.
Drive dips to his left and cracks Cutlas with an uppercut!
Drive just misses with a punch to the body.
Cutlas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Drive ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cutlas moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cutlas shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Drive avoids the body shot from Cutlas.
A countering left hand to the body from Drive misses.
Cutlas moves away from the strike by Drive.
Drive scores with the left hand. Cutlas knows he should have avoided that one.
Cutlas lands a jab.
Drive takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tim Drive will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Cutlas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Cutlas uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Cutlas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Drive moves away.
Cutlas just misses with a punch to the body.
Drive misses with a straight left.
Drive throws a body shot but no joy.
Cutlas takes one on the button.
Drive gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Drive keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Drive doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Cutlas lands with a right hand.
Drive lands a jab to the head.
Cutlas throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Drive counters with a straight right hand.


Cutlas is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drive drops Cutlas with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cutlas! Drive dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Drive!
During a confident post fight interview, Tim Drive thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Marcin Cutlas spoke after the fight, saying '110 iq'.
