Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 2881 p4p, 275 weight class) and Janus Hassildor (ranked 2269 p4p, 227 weight class). Janus Hassildor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassildor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Hassildor.

We've been hearing reports that Gracie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Hassildor gets caught napping as Gracie dives in and scores a takedown. Hassildor manages to retain guard.
Hassildor wants to stand but Gracie is controlling the position.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Hassildor keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hassildor's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hassildor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hassildor! Can he survive? No! He's out! Gracie gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
