The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sliva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Murphy fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sliva moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sliva blocks a head kick by Murphy.
Sliva moves into range and clinches up with Murphy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murphy is trying to drag Sliva to the mat but Sliva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sliva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Murphy blocks a head kick by Sliva.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sliva. Murphy shrugs it off though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sliva throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Murphy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sliva sprawls well. Sliva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murphy gets slowly back to his feet.

and Sliva makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Sliva has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Murphy is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sliva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murphy, pushing him back against the cage.
Murphy tries to throw a body punch but Sliva avoids it by throwing Murphy back against the cage.
Murphy misses with a hook from the clinch.
Murphy jumps guard but Sliva turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sliva misses with an elbow strike.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Sliva.
Murphy throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sliva blocks it with crossed arms.
Sliva keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Murphy's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luka Sliva dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tommy Murphy's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sliva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sliva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Murphy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sliva.

Sliva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sliva is looking for a sweep. Murphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Murphy seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sliva is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
