Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toson Yada (ranked 5223 p4p, 534 weight class) and Danar Lightner (ranked 6853 p4p, 590 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toson Yada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danar Lightner!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Lightner lands but Yada takes it in his stride.
Lightner lands a two punch combo.
Lightner swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Yada counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Yada sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lightner's guard.
Yada trying to control from half guard but Lightner is working away.
Yada is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lightner wants to control but Yada is keeping busy.
Yada is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lightner defends it well.
Lightner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Yada is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yada trying to control the action but Lightner is working from the bottom.
Well, if Yada is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Yada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lightner keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Yada seems to be looking for submissions.
Yada prevents Lightner from standing back up.
Yada seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lightner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Yada wants to take a breather but Lightner is having none of it.
Lightner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lightner is defending against the submission attempts here by Yada.
Yada is working for a submission of some sort.

Lightner pushes Yada off looking to stand but Yada dives back in and keeps control.
Yada is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lightner sees it coming and defends easily.
Yada is looking to take a break and control but Lightner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lightner wants to improve his position but Yada is controlling well.
Yada seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lightner is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
