The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doctore closes the distance and pushes Yanagamichi back into the cage.

Yanagamichi shoots in for a takedown but Doctore shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Oenomaus Doctore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sakuma Yanagamichi.

Yanagamichi goes for a double leg but Doctore avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Doctore continues to drive forward.

We've been told by Doctore's head coaches at Russian Bears Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Doctore counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Yanagamichi badly! Doctore follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Yanagamichi out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Doctore finished him against the cage.
