And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lane Tate!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate jabs Tate Jr to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Tate Jr clinches.

Tate Jr jumps guard and drags Tate to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Tate must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tate looks for a takedown but Tate Jr sprawls well.
Tate shoots in looking for a takedown. Tate Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Tate keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Tate Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tate Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Tate. Tate gets slowly back to his feet.

Tate Jr throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tate blocks it with crossed arms.
Tate drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tate Jr gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tate Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tate pinned against the ropes. Tate gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tate Jr's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
