PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Petersen (ranked 990 p4p, 125 weight class) and Caius Cosades (ranked 1123 p4p, 142 weight class). Cosades has chosen Morrowind as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Petersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Caius Cosades!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Petersen connects with an inside leg kick.
Petersen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A telegraphed right hand from Petersen misses the target.
A big left from Cosades misses.
Cosades throws a head kick that misses.
Petersen is looking to counter punch.
Petersen lands a right hook to the body.
Petersen cracks Cosades with an open hand slap.
Petersen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cosades sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Cosades will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Cosades shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Petersen is trying to defend but Cosades finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cosades lands a nice short elbow.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
