Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Faustino Schwartz (ranked 5705 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Whitehead (ranked 4609 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Faustino Schwartz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Whitehead!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whitehead dives in and scores a takedown into Schwartz's guard.
Whitehead is fighting to break Schwartz's control of his arms but Schwartz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Schwartz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Schwartz really is a fat lump.
Schwartz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Faustino Schwartz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Whitehead.

Schwartz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Whitehead has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Schwartz finds it's way round the side to connect with Whitehead's head.
Whitehead goes for a double leg but Schwartz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schwartz continues to drive forward.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Schwartz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
