Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shi Fu Tu (ranked 902 p4p, 107 weight class) and Altair Brain (ranked 1167 p4p, 131 weight class). Fu Tu comes to the ring accompanied by Klendathu drop. Brain has chosen 300 Violin as his entrance music. Shi Fu Tu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu Tu takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Fu Tu throws a leg kick that misses.
Fu Tu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Brain moves into the clinch successfully.
Fu Tu scores with a shoulder strike.
I was talking to Fu Tu's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Fu Tu misses with some punches.
Brain working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Brain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brain tries to bum rush Fu Tu with a series of wild strikes but Fu Tu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fu Tu swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brain.
Brain looks to score with a jab to the body but Fu Tu is just out of range.
Fu Tu lands with a hook. Brain tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Altair Brain has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brain moves out of range of the strikes.
No joy there for Fu Tu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Altair Brain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fu Tu dodges the punch combination from Brain.
Brain jabs Fu Tu to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Brain jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brain lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Brain throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fu Tu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Fu Tu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fu Tu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Brain cracks Fu Tu with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brain tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Fu Tu is able to avoid easily.

Fu Tu tries to counter with a takedown but Brain is quick to defend against it.
Brain tries to clinch there but Fu Tu circles away.

and Brain makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Brain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fu Tu is out of range and Brain settles back down.
Fu Tu attempts a counter takedown but Brain avoids it well and moves away.
Brain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fu Tu.
Fu Tu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fu Tu there as he acknowledges the shot.
Brain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fu Tu.
Brain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brain doesn't manage to clinch there - Fu Tu circles away.
Fu Tu misses with a low kick.

and Brain counters with a good low kick that Fu Tu was not able to check.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Brain throws a hook to the side of Fu Tu's head but Fu Tu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Fu Tu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brain connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fu Tu scrambles back to his feet.
Fu Tu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brain has time to react.

Brain missing with a left hand there. Fu Tu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fu Tu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Brain is rocked!
Fu Tu darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Brain's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Fu Tu before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shi Fu Tu!
Shi Fu Tu very nearly forgot to thank KOMBAT KLOTHING amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Altair Brain spoke after the fight, saying 'It happenes sometimes, but I thought I was better today. Sometimes you lose like this.'.
