The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kyryliuk clinches.

Kyryliuk breaks the clinch.

Copeland moves out of range of the strikes.
It looked like Copeland was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Copeland stuffs the takedown attempt from Kyryliuk. Kyryliuk gets slowly back to his feet.
Kyryliuk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Copeland is rocked!

It looks like Maximo Copeland has been cut.
Kyryliuk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oh Copeland is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kyryliuk instigates a clinch.

Kyryliuk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kyryliuk goes for a double leg but Copeland avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Copeland continues to drive forward.
Copeland seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kyryliuk misses with a jab, cross combination.
Copeland shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kyryliuk counters by moving into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Copeland goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kyryliuk prevents it.

Kyryliuk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oleksii Kyryliuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kyryliuk darts in looking for a takedown but Copeland gets double underhooks and turns Kyryliuk into the cage.
Maximo Copeland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleksii Kyryliuk.

Kyryliuk moves into the clinch.
Kyryliuk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Copeland fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kyryliuk cracks Copeland on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Copeland falls backwards against the cage. Kyryliuk follows up with more strikes that drop Copeland to his knees. Kyryliuk keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Copeland! This one is all over!
