The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durdynets shoots in looking for a takedown but West manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Durdynets's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A jab lands there for West.
Durdynets walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
West lands with a right hand.
A left lands for West.
West thuds his right hand into Durdynets's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Durdynets defending well as West loads up on a big left hand.
Durdynets feinted with a counter takedown.
Durdynets looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
West drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Durdynets defends it well.

Durdynets fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging West to the ground. Durdynets is now in West's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
West looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Durdynets lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Durdynets stops West from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Durdynets is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Durdynets keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of West's head.
Durdynets controls from within his opponent's guard.

West throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
West has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Durdynets has passed into side control.
West wants to get back to his feet but Durdynets is dominant here and he's now got West's back!

Durdynets has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for West! Can he survive? No! He's out! Durdynets gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

After the fight, Vasyl Durdynets was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
