The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokrajac moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gunn works the jab nicely.
Pokrajac on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gunn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pokrajac moves away.
A swing and a miss from Gunn.
Gunn thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gunn looks to land a combination but Pokrajac avoids it well.
Gunn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pokrajac doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gunn takes a swing at Pokrajac's ribcage but misses.
Gunn throws a right and a left that Pokrajac avoids nicely.
Pokrajac is looking to counter the offense by Gunn and move into the clinch.
Pokrajac displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gunn throws out the jab.

Pokrajac rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gunn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Pokrajac closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pokrajac tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pokrajac feints a jab promting Gunn to slip. Pokrajac then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gunn slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Mike Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn connects with a jab.

Pokrajac moves into the clinch.
Pokrajac blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gunn pushes Pokrajac back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Pokrajac misses with an elbow over the top.
Pokrajac is trying to break the clinch but Gunn has him pressed against the cage.
Gunn fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gunn lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Gunn cracks Pokrajac with a nice body shot.
Gunn digs a right hand underneath Pokrajac's ribcage. Pokrajac let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Gunn digs a right hand into Pokrajac's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pokrajac's gas tank.

Still in the clinch, Gunn scores with a nice short uppercut.

Gunn throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Pokrajac's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Gunn lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gunn lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Gunn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nice combo by Gunn! Oh, that's hurt him - Pokrajac falls to the canvas and Gunn follows him into side control.

Pokrajac is rocked!

Gunn creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pokrajac sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Gunn looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pokrajac is avoiding damage well.

Pokrajac defending against the ground and pound.
Gunn throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gunn misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Pokrajac wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
