Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Pilapil (ranked 4514 p4p, 153 weight class) and Ghost Rider (ranked 3809 p4p, 133 weight class). Pilapil comes to the cage accompanied by I love the Diaz Brothers. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ernesto Pilapil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ghost Rider!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilapil plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Pilapil pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rider back to the cage. Pilapil follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Pilapil managing to block the knees to the body from Rider.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pilapil.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pilapil shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pilapil tries a body shot but Rider blocks it.
Pilapil could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pilapil throws a head punch that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Pilapil's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rider keeps control of Pilapil as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Rider turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pilapil wants to get back to his feet but Rider is dominant here and he's now got Pilapil's back!
You can see the frustration on Pilapil's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Rider is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Pilapil is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rider gets his way!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rider tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Rider is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pilapil to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pilapil shrugs it off.
Ghost Rider has got the better of the ground game so far.

Let's hope that Rider has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
