PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mate Orsic (ranked 1498 p4p, 182 weight class) and Deez Nuts (ranked 2213 p4p, 246 weight class). Nuts has chosen Come Down as his entrance music. Deez Nuts told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mate Orsic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Deez Nuts!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orsic with a nice cross.
Orsic throws a body shot but no joy.
Orsic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Orsic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Orsic takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Orsic feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nutss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Orsic looks to land a right hand but Nuts moved out of range.
Orsic throws a hook but Nuts blocks it.
A big right from Nuts misses.
Nuts keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Nuts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Orsic's guard.
Orsic looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Orsic seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Nuts is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Orsic has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nuts is looking to defend but Orsic has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nuts! Orsic pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nuts taps out and this one is all over!
