Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doss plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Gilberto Chamba has been cut.
Chamba slips under a jab.
Chamba tries to close the distance and clinch but Doss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It seemed like Doss was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Chamba blocks a jab.
Chamba lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Dick Doss has been cut.
Gilberto Chamba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doss lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Doss displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chamba throws out the jab.
Chamba throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Doss counters with a stiff right hand.
Chamba thuds a left hand into Doss's body.
A telegraphed right hand from Chamba misses the target.
A combination from Chamba does no damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chamba throws a head kick but Doss moves out of range.

Chamba forces Doss back against the ropes and clinches.
Chamba misses with a hook from the clinch.
Doss blocks an uppercut.
A right handed body shot lands from Chamba.
Chamba misses with the head strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chamba creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Doss's defenses.

Chamba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Chamba throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
An inside leg kick from Chamba misses.
Doss lunges at Chamba with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chamba's hand.
Chamba tries to close the distance and clinch but Doss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chamba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chamba looks to score with a jab to the body but Doss is just out of range.
Chamba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Doss.
Chamba throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chamba misses the body punch
and Doss counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chamba tries to clinch up but Doss circles away and keeps his distance.
Doss darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Doss has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Doss fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chamba.
Chamba looks for the body kick but Doss saw that one coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Doss. Chamba shrugs it off though.
Chamba is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Doss looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Doss has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Chamba throws a body shot but no joy.
Nice straight punches there by Doss. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Doss.

Gilberto Chamba's cut is getting worse.
Doss misses with a kick to the body.
Chamba fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chamba swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Doss's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chamba connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Doss scrambles back to his feet.
Chamba throws a sloppy body shot
and Doss counters with a slapping leg kick.
A head kick misses from Chamba.
Chamba throws a left and a right that both miss
and Doss counters with a body kick that stops Chamba in his tracks momentarily.
Chamba is breathing heavily.
Chamba has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Doss.
A punch lands to the side of Chamba 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Doss connects with an inside leg kick.
Doss lands a nice looking body kick.
Chamba on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Doss plants his feet and throws a devastating head kick! It connects square on Chamba's ear and has knocked him out cold! No need for a count here as the referee immediately tends to a stricken Chamba, crumpled in the corner! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dick Doss!
Dick Doss was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
