Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 1760 p4p, 207 weight class) and Scar Ambe (ranked 609 p4p, 78 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with ROYCE GRACIE blaring out of the sound system. Ambe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Yung Bleu - Perk Emotions. Scar Ambe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a hook to the body
enabling Ambe to counter with a crisp jab.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Ambe, which made it look bad.

Ambe takes the fight into the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Ambe.
Ambe swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ambe lands with a short shot to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ambe.
I was talking to Gracie's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ambe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ambe scores with a shot to the side of Gracie's head.
Ambe stalling.
Ambe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gracie up against the cage.
Gracie has Ambe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ambe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Ambe misses with some punches.
Gracie tries to break the clinch but Ambe is controlling the position.
Ambe gets through Gracie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ambe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gracie has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ambe regains guard immediately.

Ambe pushes Gracie off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ambe is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Ambe lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Ambe pushes Gracie back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Gracie blocking some punches.
Ambe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gracie has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ambe content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ambe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gracie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ambe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gracie momentarily.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ambe has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Gracie gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Ambe gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Gracie is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
