Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Captain Gonza (ranked 530 p4p, 12 weight class) and Lucas Marston (ranked 370 p4p, 8 weight class). Gonza's entrance music is Mononoke Hime. A fine choice. Marston comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bring it on motherfucker kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonza throws an off balance right hand
enabling Marston to counter with a crisp jab.
Marston connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gonza. Gonza circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gonza tries to work over Marston's front leg with a kick but Marston checks it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gonza. Marston does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gonza lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Marston pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Marston uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gonza.
Marston looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Gonza drops Marston with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Marston looks back up at him and smiles so Gonza waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gonza feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marston sprawling to the canvas! Marston rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gonza finish him?!

Gonza drops Marston with a naaaaasty hook - Marston is in real trouble here! Gonza dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Captain Gonza decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
