Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Hyabusa (ranked 4385 p4p, 442 weight class) and Norman Young (ranked 6700 p4p, 506 weight class). Norman Young will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryu Hyabusa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Norman Young!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries for a takedown but Hyabusa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Young fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hyabusa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Panda Sprawl n Brawl in the buildup to the fight.
Ryu Hyabusa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Norman Young.
Young throws a series of punches but Hyabusa moves out of range.
It looked like Hyabusa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Young is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hyabusa asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Young takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hyabusa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
