The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Halo shoots in for a double leg but Average sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Average is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Average closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Average lands in his opponent's guard.

Halo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Halo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Average swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Average has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halo is working away from the top position though.
