Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Morrow (ranked 2126 p4p, 273 weight class) and Zack Skinner (ranked 2192 p4p, 278 weight class). Morrow comes to the cage accompanied by Judas Priest - Breaking The Law. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Morrow!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Skinner!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Skinner. Those never looked like landing.
Morrow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morrow ducks under a wild hook from Skinner.
Morrow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Skinner jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Skinner misses with a looping right.
Skinner looks to land a right hand but Morrow moved out of range.
Skinner looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Morrow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Skinner is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.


It looks like James Morrow has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skinner gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A punch lands to the side of Morrow 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Skinner's corner calls for a 1-2. Skinner obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Skinner takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Skinner drops Morrow with a big left hand and mounts him. Morrow is in big trouble!


Morrow is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Morrow blocking the ground and pound.
Oh Morrow is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morrow tries to reverse the position but Skinner maintains control.
Morrow seems to have got his legs back now.
Morrow tries to lock up and control but Skinner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Morrow sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Morrow has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Skinner is on him like a limpet, forcing Morrow back against the cage.
Skinner is trying to break free.

Skinner fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Skinner just leaning against Morrow, taking a breather.
Morrow throws a head punch that misses.
Skinner blocks a body shot from Morrow.
Morrow's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Skinner effectively controlling the action here.
Skinner lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Skinner.

Skinner receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Zack Skinner.
Skinner keeps the fight on the outside.
Skinner throws out a counter right but Morrow avoids it with no problem.
Skinner connects with a jab.
Skinner misses with a lunging right hand
and Morrow counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Skinner drops his shoulder and cracks Morrow with a huge uppercut! Morrow goes down! Can Skinner finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!

Morrow has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Skinner has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Skinner is trying to push Morrow away but Morrow has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Morrow blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Morrow throws a head punch that misses.
Skinner is struggling to control the position.

Good body shot from Skinner.
Skinner is trying to break the clinch but Morrow is controlling him.
Skinner can't break the clinch.
Skinner stalls.
Morrow tries to work over Skinner's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Skinner lands a hook that snaps the head of Morrow backwards.
Skinner is trying to break the clinch but Morrow is controlling him.
Skinner working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Skinner.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Morrow tries a body shot but Skinner blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Morrow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Skinner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Skinner might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

James Morrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Morrow throws the left hand but Skinner avoids the punch easily.
Skinner avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Morrow with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Skinner moves into range and connects with a jab.
Skinner misses with a two punch combination.
Morrow tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Skinner manages to circle out of the way.

Morrow throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Morrow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Morrow moves away from the strike by Skinner.
Morrow is looking to counter punch.

Skinner lands a big shot that drops Morrow! Can he finish him?

Skinner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Morrow works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Skinner throws an elbow that misses. Morrow uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Skinner's guard. Nice move by Morrow!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Skinner holds on and takes a little breather.

Skinner wants to stand but Morrow is controlling the position.
Morrow throws a big elbow that misses.
Morrow loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Skinner controls Morrow momentarily but Morrow frees himself.
Skinner throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skinner is pulling down on Morrow's head. It's preventing any offense from Morrow, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Zack Skinner seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Skinner punishes Morrow's body with a nice straight punch.
Morrow looks to land a body kick but Skinner moved away.
Skinner works Morrow's body with a nice hook.
A punch lands to the side of Morrow 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Skinner throws an overhand right that has Morrow reeling! Skinner follows up with more punches and Morrow is out cold! This one is all over!

A victorious Zack Skinner thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
James Morrow was interviewed post fight and said 'I am not sad that I lost. I am still happy because I've got opportunity. When the time will come next time, I'll try my best again.'.
