Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danar Lightner (ranked 24661 p4p, 642 weight class) and Steven Jones (ranked 4747 p4p, 501 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones cracks Lightner with a right hand to the side of the head.

Lightner lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! Lightner takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Steven Jones has been cut.
Lightner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones.
Jones throws a shot to the body.
Danar Lightner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lightner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lightner has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lightner there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jones fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Lightner wants to land a leg kick but Jones is out of range.
We've been told by Lightner's head coaches at Touch Of Death Combat Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lightner feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Jones crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

During a confident post fight interview, Danar Lightner thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
