The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Spam drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Shamrock is desperately trying to improve his position but Spam has a good base and remains in mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spam jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shamrock manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Spam goes for an armbar but Shamrock turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Shamrock.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Shamrock drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shamrock jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Spam is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shamrock defends well.

Shamrock is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Shamrock is working for a kimura but Spam is defending it quite comfortably.
Spam is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shamrock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shamrock's back!

Shamrock is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Spam gets his way!

Spam has managed to slip his arm under Shamrock's chin. This could be all over... yep, Shamrock is tapping out! Submission win for Spam.
