And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Ferreria!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreria moves out of range of the strikes.
Stone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Alex Ferreria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Alex Ferreria has been cut.
Stone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Stone keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Stone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ferreria.
Ferreria bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stone's head backwards.


It looks like Aaron Stone has been cut.
Ferreria tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stone was well out of range. Poor timing from Ferreria.
Stone appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ferreria throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stone cracks Ferreria with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Stone lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ferreria takes a step back to recover.
Ferreria looks to land a left hand but Stone moved out of range nicely.

Stone has closed the distance and engaged Ferreria in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferreria wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ferreria is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Stone lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ferreria backwards.

Ferreria tries to break the clinch but Stone is controlling the position.

Ferreria is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Stone has denied him.

Ferreria lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stone backwards.
Stone lands with a left to the head.
Stone misses with a punch on the inside.
Ferreria trying to control the position but instead, Stone has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ferreria into the cage.
Stone misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ferreria looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ferreria dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Ferreria lands with a right to the head.

Stone has a couple of punches blocked by Ferreria.
Stone swings wildly with an uppercut but Ferreria uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stone lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Ferreria lands with a light punch inside.
Stone prevents a body shot from Ferreria.
Stone throws a head punch that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stone cracks Ferreria with a nice body shot.

Ferreria misses with a punch on the inside.
Stone blocks an uppercut.

Ferreria breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stone throws a hook but Ferreria blocks it.
Ferreria darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Stone takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Stone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ferreria.
Ferreria rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ferreria takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ferreria takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ferreria swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stone throws a hook but Ferreria avoids it easily.
Stone walks into a jab.


Stone is rocked!
Ferreria flashes Stone a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Stone's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Stone crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Ferreria punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Ferreria! Alex Ferreria retains his heavyweight title!
Alex Ferreria seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
