Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bob McDonald (ranked 412 p4p, 54 weight class) and Radio Philips (ranked 555 p4p, 77 weight class). McDonald comes to the cage accompanied by Ray Wylie Hubbard - Redneck Mother. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
McDonald throws a hook but Philips avoids it easily.
Philips rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McDonald moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McDonald lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Radio Philips has been cut.
Radio Philips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by McDonald.
Philips moves away from the strike by McDonald.
McDonald throws a right and a left that both miss.
Philips misses with a hook. McDonald ducked under it nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Philips. McDonald does a little dance to reset his feet.
McDonald takes one on the button.
A big left from McDonald misses.
McDonald bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Philips's head.
Philips looks to score with a jab to the body but McDonald is just out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McDonald tests Philips's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Philips throws a hook to the side of McDonald's head but McDonald sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McDonald fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Philips manages to avoid it.
McDonald digs a good body shot into Philips's ribs.
Philips moves away from the strike by McDonald.
McDonald displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Philips throws out the jab.
McDonald lands a jab-cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonald cracks Philips with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Philips falls to his knees and McDonald doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
