The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ludwig looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ludwig has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Petersen finds it's way round the side to connect with Ludwig's head.

Ludwig takes the fight into the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Petersen.
Petersen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ludwig.
Petersen is working for takedown but Ludwig is calmly controlling the position for now.
Petersen blocks a body shot from Ludwig.
Ludwig drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Petersen throws a punch but it's blocked by Ludwig.
Petersen prevents the takedown attempt.
Ludwig tries to work over Petersen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Petersen has a couple of punches blocked by Ludwig.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petersen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ludwig is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Petersen to the mat. Petersen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ludwig stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Petersen has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Ludwig manages to get his head free but now Petersen has transitioned to an armbar! Ludwig grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Petersen! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
