Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lethal (ranked 514 p4p, 76 weight class) and Alejandro Scott (ranked 1217 p4p, 173 weight class). Lethal comes to the ring accompanied by we're off to see the wizard. The crowd seem to be enjoying Scott's choice of entrance music: Alejandro - Lady Gaga. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lethal looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Scott throws the left hand but Lethal avoids the punch easily.
A shot to the liver by Lethal. Beautiful body shot.
Lethal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scott was well out of range. Poor timing from Lethal.
Scott swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Lethal takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nice straight punches there by Scott. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Scott.

It looked like Lethal was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Scott.

Lethal moves into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott looking for a takedown.
Lethal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Scott drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lethal pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lethal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Scott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lethal.
Scott throws out a loose jab but Lethal uses good head movement to avoid it.
Good exchange - Scott coming out on top.
Lethal misses with a looping right.
Scott takes a shot right to the bread basket.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Scott has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Alejandro Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lethal lands a big right hand that sends Scott crashing to the mat! Lethal stays standing though and waves Scott back to his feet!

Scott bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Lethal comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Scott falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Scott was out before he hit the floor!
