The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mokete dodges the punch combination from Escobar.
Escobar misses with a double jab.

Mokete clinches.

Mokete has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Escobar uses from the top position.
Mokete lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mokete is pushing down on Escobar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Escobar is fighting to maintain full guard but Mokete has managed to sneak the leg through.
Escobar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mokete. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Escobar is not content to let Mokete control the position.

Mokete is trying to work for a kimura but Escobar is defending well.

Mokete has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mokete is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Escobar is forced to tap! Great finish!
