Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ernesto Rizzari!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Rizzari actively working from the bottom here.
Miller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rizzari keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've been hearing that Miller has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Miller is looking to improve his position.
Rizzari is trying to control the action in half guard but Miller is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Rizzari shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rizzari was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rizzari throws his legs up looking for a submission but Miller uses it to pass to side control.

Miller is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rizzari is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ernesto Rizzari will probably get the nod - 10:9.
