Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Escorre (ranked 1588 p4p, 76 weight class) and Newbie Guide (ranked 345 p4p, 18 weight class). Escorre comes to the cage accompanied by Chico Science & Nação Zumbi - Da Lama Ao Caos. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escorre throws a series of punches but Guide avoids them all with ease.
Guide misses the shot to the body.

Escorre takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guide darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Guide misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Escorre was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Guide has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Escorre is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Guide has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Escorre seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Guide lands a big right hand that sends Escorre crashing to the mat! Guide stays standing though and waves Escorre back to his feet!
Escorre is rocked!
It looks like Claudio Escorre has been cut.
Guide weaves into range and cracks Escorre right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Escorre goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Guide is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
