Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Brooksbank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fart Minarsich!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minarsich throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Brooksbank counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Minarsich can't keep his opponent in guard - Brooksbank advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Brooksbank content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Minarsich wants to improve his position but Brooksbank is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brooksbank is working for a kimura but Minarsich is defending it quite comfortably.
Brooksbank trying to mount his opponent but Minarsich defends it.

Brooksbank wants to work for an arm triangle but Minarsich is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Minarsich looking for a kimura from the bottom but Brooksbank passes into side control!
Brooksbank content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Brooksbank working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Minarsich's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brooksbank works to advance to full mount. Minarsich defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooksbank takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Minarsich really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Brooksbank takes Minarsich's back.
I would not like to be Minarsich right now.
Brooksbank has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Brooksbank seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Minarsich for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brooksbank is not going to allow Minarsich to sit and survive in this position.

Brooksbank is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Minarsich won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Brooksbank off his unconscious opponent!
