The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oduun misses with a hook.

Oduun manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jones has hold of one of Oduun's legs. Oduun is fighting the takedown attempt but Jones gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Oduun has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jones is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Oduun.

Jones swings around for an armbar but Oduun sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard.

Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Oduun wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oduun manages to get himself to full guard.

Oduun looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jones is defending well. Oduun quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jones has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Oduun celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

After the fight, Matt Oduun was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
