The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holmes gets tackled into the cage by Sionis. Sionis maintains the clinch.
Sionis misses with a knee to the head.
Sionis tries to pull guard but Holmes forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Sionis is trying to drag Holmes to the mat but Holmes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sionis tries to land a knee to the head but Holmes blocks with his arms.
Holmes tries to break free but Sionis pushes him back against the cage.
Holmes wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Sionis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Hank Holmes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Sionis.

Holmes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Holmes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sionis circles away quickly and effectively.
Holmes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sionis eats them both and turns towards Holmes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Roman Sionis has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A big head kick from Sionis and Holmes is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Holmes is rocked!

Holmes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sionis defends it easily.
Oh Holmes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sionis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Holmes controls Sionis momentarily but Sionis frees himself.
Holmes seems to have got his legs back now.

Holmes is working an open guard so Sionis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sionis dives in and grabs Holmes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Holmes pushes down on Sionis's head and hops out.

Sionis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sionis in particular looking to stall.
Holmes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A less than humble Hank Holmes misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
