Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Merel!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Head stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Head takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Merel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Head tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Merel is in Head's guard.
Merel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Head seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Head on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Head tries to get out of the position.
Merel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Merel drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Merel seems to have locked his on tight now - Head screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Merel, as he picks up the win!
