The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dettman scores with a decent looking hook.
Dettman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dettman throws a series of punches but Hawk avoids them all with ease.
Dettman throws a right and a left that both miss.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hawk! But no joy.
Hawk uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dettman.

No joy there for Dettman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hawk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dettman's guard.
Dettman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hawk is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dettman is looking to stand back up but Hawk counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dettman.
Dettman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hawk on the ground.

Hawk is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dettman is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
