Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leon Scott Jr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Steele!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott Jr throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Scott Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steele tries to avoid it but Scott Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steele to the ground. Steele escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Steele now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Steele avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Steele slaps away a takedown attempt from Scott Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Steele is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Scott Jr with a body shot.

It seemed like Steele was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Dave Steele decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
