The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paige throws a right and a left that Schilling avoids nicely.
It seemed like Schilling was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Schilling has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Paige walks into a stiff left hand from Schilling.
Samoa Joe Schilling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schilling throws a looping overhand right but Paige ducks down to avoid it.
Paige tries to bum rush Schilling with a series of wild strikes but Schilling uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Paige throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Schilling stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Paige has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Schilling weaves into range and cracks Paige right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Paige goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Schilling is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
